Recently TRAI announced to reduce the roaming charges in India after May 1 and its can be seen now. Vodafone, Idea and Airtel has announced reduction from May 1 following the new rules set by TRAI.
Vodafone users can now be benefit from new rates as follows, Outgoing STD call for Rs 1.15 and 80 paise for local, STD text messages will cost 38 paise & local 25 paise only. Earlier the rates were bit high and in various sections reduction is done by 70 % which is good for users.
For incoming calls too Vodafone has deducted 40 % charges making 45 paise per minute on roaming.
Airtel has new rates from May 1 as follows, 75 % less rates on Local SMS, 74 % less STD SMS, same like vodafone Airtel too has reduced Incoming calls on roaming phone by 40 % and outgoing by 23 %. Other than this Local calls will also cost you less by 20 % on Airtel network in India.
Idea has the same reduction like in Airtel and Vodafone in receiving calls on roaming, while other slashing includes, Local SMS for 25 paise, STD for 38 paise , STD calls down by 23 % and local by 20 %.
Well if you want to thank anyone than do that to TRAI for making comprehensive changes in the previous guidelines which were causing high rates for users to make calls. India is 2nd most populated country in the world and here consumer need cheap products whether it is anything.
All these new Tariff will come into force from May 1, 2015( Tomorrow).
