Aam Aadmi Party to push the jan lokpal bill in june of this year

The Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi government is likely to table the famous Jan lokpal bill in the budget session in June 2015. This is the same infamous bill over which Party head Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from the position of chief minister in 2014 as it could not be passed in the assembly. Current Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted "Started working on Jan Lokpal Bill" on wednesday.

aam aadmi party and jan lokpal bill

In the year 2014 Kejriwal had to resign after stiff opposition to his Jan Lokpal Bill from both the major parties BJP and Congress. After which Kejriwal accused both the parties of joining hands to defeat the jan lokpal bill. With Aam Aadmi party's win the need for the jan lokpal bill once again surfaced as promised in the agenda.

According to trust able sources, the Delhi governmnet has started reviewing the draft of the jan lokpal bill which was introduced in Feb 2014 by the 49 day Aam Aadmi Party rule. Work has been started so that the bill can be presented in the budget session in june 2015. The official also said the government is framing the "swaraj bill" as well, but it might take more time for the same although the AAP government is serious for both the bills.

With recent news of opposition within the Aam Aadmi Party and certain conflicts that arose, it is nice to hear that some proposed work is also being done by the government. While the citizens look forward for the bill, AAP is also excited to get the bill passed. We hope for a good bill which would benefit most of the citizens of the state.
