Internet.org is a service founded in 2013 by Mark Zuckerberg, which is a partnership between Social Networking site Facebook and seven mobile companies till now including the top firms like Reliance and Samsung . The primary purpose of Internet.org is to provide users across the world affordable and reliable Internet to those part of the Globe which don't have any access yet.
Everything was fine until AIB's video was uploaded everyone in India came to know about Net Neutrality and slammed back the decision by sending more than 6,00,000 mails to Trai reporting their disagreement over the Scheme.
As all the Indians got united to fight back against Net Neutrality in India Mark Zuckerberg's Internet.org also got criticized over Neutrality of Internet . Recently a lot of debates over Equality of Internet had taken place making it the biggest Issue of Mobile Network ever happened in India, The effects can be seen as India's IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that they are currently analyzing and final report will be available by May's second week. Flipkart had already stepped out of the Airtel Zero platform supporting equality. Many Bollywood celebrities have condemned the scheme which supported discrimination.
Public opinion over Internet.org and Net Neutrality co-existence is not in favor of Facebook Founder's owner as according to a poll result about 50 % votes were given disagreeing with the Zuckerberg's comment . Mark has also stated that they will never differentiate between websites or services by blocking, slowing or shutting down.
Currently if you will open Internet.org from India with ISP other than Reliance a message will be shown saying that to access the site you will have to open it with Reliance network.
