Rajasthan Royals showed some immense talent on the field taking extreme catches and washing of priety zinta's side in a close match. What was expected as an easy chase for the mighty kings looked rather difficult when they failed with their heavy batting order. Murali Vijay provided some hope but was soon washed by the the royals of Rajasthan.
Match started rather slowly for the Royals when they lost a couple of wickets early on. With some tight bowling from the Kings, Royals were sent on to the back foot. Some shorts came at regular intervals when Smith showed his talent, hitting a total of 5 fours. Some other good shots were played by Hooda and Faulkner which took Rajasthan to a decent score of 162/7.
As expected the mighty Sehwag came to open but had to go very soon when Southee washed of his hard hitting image with a cracking ball and a good catch by Samson. Soon the kings showed some nervousness when their wickets started falling. Rajasthan showed some loop holes in the fielding but some catches were worth celebrating. Maxwell's wicket came as a big gift for the royals as Faulkner provided the breakthrough.
The high moment for the royals came when Nair and Southee took an insane catch and sent Bailey back. The match looked very well in royals pocket as the run rate had climbed way high. All in all a good game for the Rajasthani team as they washed off Punjab's hopes.
