The news about the disappearance of Rahul Gandhi from the fields of politics were yet to fade when statements from the Congress team about him has stirred the public. The latest buzz in the arena is that even his party leaders do not want him back.
It was earlier assumed that probably his disappearance from the scene would make Congress yearn for his return (Rahul Gandhi will take time). But it is now evident that his absence has not made the hearts of his party grow any fonder of him. Instead, their minds are now looking for substitutes.
Sheila Dikshit, the former Chief Minister of Delhi on Monday stated that, " I am yet to meet anybody who has any critical remarks to make about the leadership of Sonia Gandhi. I can say it with absolute confidence. Whereas (in case of) Rahul, of course, there is a question mark, there is skepticism because you have not seen him perform as yet".
It is pretty clear that Rahul can take all the time that he needs to holiday, because Congress is happy with Sonia Gandhi on the wheels. Sharing the same views on this regard are Amarinder Singh, the Punjab heavyweight champion and Sandeep Dikshit.
Congress is now in a situation where the people want the mother while she waits for her son to step up. This political dire situation is because of the expectations of a mother. It is known that the Gandhi's form the kidneys of Congress. It is time for the Congress party to now accept it and live on with it- they have a leader who loves to holiday.
But despite all these accusations and the fear for his return, the little experiments that Rahul Gandhi has made shows his interest towards bringing the youth of this country to power. But just by not working for all that he believes in, he has simply made his situation more complicated than it would have.
All we can really do is wait for him to show up on 19th April as the nation awaits for his actions. No more disappointments Gandhi. The country deserves an answer.
